Tutorial: how to make a dog tug

Learn how to make a tug , the ideal toy for your dog, with our simple and practical guide.

If you have a very playful dog but he doesn't play with his toys, then don't spend your money in vain. Instead, we suggest you make your own dog tug with this easy, no-sew tutorial. A simple, effective and fun activity to do with the family!

To get started you will only need two things:

• Fleece fabric
• And a pair of scissors .

You can choose between 1, 2 or 4 different colors. Don’t hesitate to vary the colors. Find all our fleece fabrics by clicking here .

Step 1: Spread your fleece fabric on a flat surface, cut 4 strips of approximately 7cm x 150cm. They may not be perfect but do not hesitate to use heavy objects to help hold the fabric in place.

If you have 2 colors, cut 2 strips from each. If you have 4, cut into just one of each.

Step 2: Tie a knot by joining the 4 ends of the strips together, pull hard and separate the ends as in the image below so that one end is at the top, another at the bottom and the other two on the left and to the right.

Step 3: Loop the top and bottom strips, pass the left and right strips through the loops and pull. Do not hesitate to tighten it well, the fabric is quite strong and will not fray. Continue like this until you have 20cm of fabric remaining.

Step 4: Tie a 2nd knot, pull tight and voilà! You can start playing with your dog.
