Avalon Film is used directly under or over the fabric to stabilize areas to be embroidered. When sewing materials like terry or mesh, the fibers tend to shift or get caught under the presser foot. This film creates a temporary barrier that prevents the fabric from buckling or absorbing the thread, making it easier for the needle to pass through and improving the quality of the stitching, topstitching, or decorative finishes.
After sewing, simply rinse the fabric with warm water to completely remove the film. It leaves no marks, is non-sticky, and is completely gentle on fabrics. This stabilizer is particularly useful for baby clothes, towels, sportswear, knitwear, and more.
