Which bernette overlocker should you choose between the 64 AIRLOCK and the 68 AIRLOCK?

The 64 AIRLOCK only overlocks. The 68 AIRLOCK also adds a coverstitch, giving you two functions in a single machine and freeing up one less workstation on the table. The choice depends on the knit fabric you sew and the space you have available. Both are among the best-selling models here.

Do lighting and the work surface matter on an overlocker?

More than you might think. The thread is cut a few millimeters from the needle, and a poorly lit edge gets overlocked askew. A clear area to the left of the presser foot also helps guide large pieces without twisting them. These features vary from one model to another; the product page details them.

What is included in the price of a bernette overlocker?

The difference between the models lies in their equipment level and the fact that a serger-coverstitch machine performs two functions instead of one. The list of included accessories appears on each product page. For purchases over €500, delivery is free for the machines, which covers this entire collection.

Can you overlock a piece of your own jersey before buying?

Bring two or three scraps to the Grez-Doiceau store. The consistency of the edge is judged on your material, not on a carefully chosen demonstration sample. We also show you how to adjust the differential feed on the model you are interested in. Setup assistance is included with your purchase, either in-store or remotely.

Do you repair and service machines of all brands?

Yes, our workshop handles repairs and maintenance for all brands of sewing machines and overlockers. You can drop off your machine at the Grez-Doiceau store, even if you did not buy it from us. You will receive a quote before any work is carried out.
