Jackets are essential pieces in any wardrobe. Versatile, comfortable, and suitable for every occasion, they can be worn both in the city and during outdoor activities. But with the multitude of jacket fabrics available, it is not always easy to know which one to choose.
At Verotex, we offer a wide selection of quality fabrics for every budget and style. Whether you are looking for a classic, modern, sporty, or trendy jacket, we guide you in finding the ideal jacket fabrics for your next sewing project.
The main jacket fabrics
Each fabric has its own advantages, whether in terms of appearance, comfort, or protection against the elements. Here is an overview of the most popular materials.
Faux Leather: elegance and durability
Faux leather is a timeless choice for jackets with a chic and distinctive style. It perfectly imitates the appearance of genuine leather while remaining more affordable and easy to care for. Ideal for dressy jacket fabrics, motorcycle jackets, or rock-inspired pieces, it adds a touch that is both sophisticated and durable.
wool: warmth and comfort
wool is a must-have for winter jackets and heavy coats. Naturally insulating, it retains heat while allowing the skin to breathe. It is perfect for creating an elegant jacket that effectively protects against the cold, particularly for outings in the city or trips to the mountains.
Corduroy: softness and vintage style
Corduroy is appealing for its soft feel and retro-chic look. It adds texture and character to a jacket while offering pleasant comfort. Ideal for autumn and winter, it comes in many colors and allows you to create unique pieces with a casual or dressy style.
Quilted fabric: optimal insulation
Quilted fabric is the king of winter jackets. Its padded structure provides excellent thermal insulation and maximum comfort. Available in several finishes, it is ideal for making cozy jackets, perfect for facing cold days while staying stylish.
Softshell: protection against the elements
Softshell is a technical fabric that combines lightness, flexibility, and resistance to the elements. Perfect for windproof or waterproof jackets, it effectively protects against rain and wind while remaining breathable. It is the ideal choice for a versatile jacket suited to everyday use.
