How to use Vlieseline?

The Vlieseline is a brand of fusible interfacing. Fusible interfacing is a fabric mainly used to reinforce, stabilize, and shape your sewing projects. 

Here’s how to use Vlieseline or fusible interfacing:

1. Decide which thickness of Vlieseline you need based on the fabric and the effect you want to achieve. 
2. Cut the Vlieseline to the desired size and shape. 
3. Place the Vlieseline on the wrong side of the fabric. 
4. Cover the fusible interfacing with parchment paper to protect your iron. 
5. Iron the fabric and the Vlieseline together to fix the Vlieseline in place (iron the fabric six times without steam). You can do this for 12 seconds.  
6. Sew the fabric as you normally would. 
   

Which fusible interfacing to choose?

There are different types of interfacing that adapt to the fabric to be stabilized. Here are the different types of interfacing to always have at home: 

• The H200:

The fusible interfacing Vlieseline H200 is a non-woven synthetic fiber interfacing. It is lightweight, with a fairly firm hold while preventing distortion of your creations. This interfacing is ideal for small parts of shirts or other garments such as collars, cuffs, facings, ect. 

• The G700:
