Description
White basting thread is a temporary thread specially designed for temporarily joining fabric pieces before final sewing. Used primarily for hand sewing, it helps hold pieces in place and check the fit or volume of a garment without using pins or clips.
This 100% cotton thread is slightly brittle, making it easy to remove once the stitching is complete. It is intentionally soft to prevent it from getting stuck in the final seams. Thanks to its white color, it is visible on most fabrics, while remaining discreet on test canvases or light-colored fabrics.
