The BERNINA 495 Liberty Edition is a Series 4 sewing and quilting machine, produced as a limited edition in collaboration with the London design house Liberty. Its front panel features the Velasco Meadow pattern, redesigned and hand-painted in Liberty’s studios. A matching trolley and dust cover are included.
What are the features of the BERNINA 495 Liberty Edition?
A centrally positioned 4.3" / 10 cm color touchscreen, 5.5 mm stitch width, 6 mm stitch length, 11 needle positions and 1,027 stitches in total, including 5 alphabets, 11 buttonholes and 28 quilting stitches - including 32 exclusive Liberty decorative stitches. The BERNINA hook and its Jumbo bobbin sew at up to 900 stitches/min, with 177.7 mm of space to the right of the needle.
How do you use the BERNINA 495 Liberty Edition?
The on-screen sewing consultant suggests settings suited to the fabric and application, which can be adjusted using the multifunction buttons. Automatic needle threading and the automatic thread cutter save time, while adaptive BERNINA thread tension ensures neat stitches, and the free-hand system (FHS) raises the presser foot and lowers the feed dog using the knee. BSR functionality is integrated for free-motion quilting (BSR Foot #42 optional).
